Meet the Founder – Dr. Damilola Afolabi

I am Dr. Damilola Afolabi, the creative mind behind CakeMeAway. My journey started in the field of medical sciences—I am a medical doctor with a Master’s degree in Hospital Management. However, my passion for baking has been with me since I was 13 years old. Throughout medical school, I baked cakes as favors for friends and classmates, receiving overwhelming appreciation. It was in those moments that CakeMeAway was born. After practicing medicine for two years, I made the life-changing decision to pursue my passion full-time—and I haven’t looked back since!

The Story Behind CakeMeAway Boxes

As an experienced baker, I faced challenges in finding the ideal tall cake boxes that met my expectations. I needed packaging that was:

• Strong and sturdy – to prevent accidents and damage
• Aesthetic and visually appealing – to showcase cake designs without opening the box
• Easy to assemble – to save time and effort for bakers

After months of designing, testing, and perfecting, I created the ULTIMATE CAKER’S BOX—a box designed by a baker, for bakers! Our cake packaging solutions are crafted with over a decade of baking experience in mind, ensuring they meet every baker’s needs.

Currently, we proudly ship our premium cake boxes across Ireland, the United Kingdom, Europe, and Canada, and we are expanding to serve even more bakers worldwide.
